AceShowbiz –Takeoff made an eerie statement just one week before his passing. The one-third of Migos, who was fatally shot during an altercation in Texas, talked about death when appearing on “Drink Champs” alongside Quavo.
When sitting down with DJ EFN and N.O.R.E. a.k.a Noreaga to promote his and Quavo’s new projects as rap duo Unc & Phew, the 28-year-old said he wanted recognition for his talent before he died. N.O.R.E. first told him, “One thing I really, really love about the project is how you [are] shining. Of course you were shining before, but I felt like you were dancing on this one.”
“It was your time to prove. Is that something you had on your mind when you [were] going to do that?” the co-host continued. In response, Takeoff replied, “For sure. I’m chill, I’m-laid back, but it’s time to pop it. I want to get into my flow. Time to give me my flowers. I don’t want them when I ain’t here.”
Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was killed following an “altercation” at the 810 Billiards and Bowling Houston in Texas during the early hours of Tuesday morning, November 1. A source told the outlet, “Takeoff and Quavo were there playing dice when an altercation broke out and that’s when someone opened fire, shooting Takeoff either in the head or near his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
TMZ went on to report that two others were shot at the scene and have been hospitalized although their conditions remain unclear. As for Quavo, he allegedly escaped the incident without injury.
Just hours before the incident, Takeoff posted a selfie on Instagram from the bowling alley. Prior to that, had been seen in a video driving around with Jas Prince as the pair celebrated the music executive’s birthday.
