He was born on Jin Tustin, California, the son of actress Elizabeth Taylor and director John Wayne Eastwood. In 1974, he made the movie, Unforgiven, which is about a man who kills another man after the former commits a murder. In 1978, Eastwood starred in the film, High Plains Drifter. In 1981, he starred in the film, The Outlaw Josey Wales. In 2011, he starred in the movie, American Sniper where he played the role of a US Navy SEAL Sniper. For every film he has been in, he has won three Academy Awards for Best Director. In addition, he has been nominated for eight Golden.
