Prince Harry’s memoir ‘delayed until next year’ which could mean new chapters

The highly-anticipated memoir from theDuke of Sussexis reportedly set to have its release delayed, following the death ofQueen Elizabeth II.

The book was slated for release later this year around Thanksgiving in the US and in the run-up to Christmas in the UK.

However, royal author Tom Bower has now said it seems likely that the release will instead be pushed back until the new year.

Publishing House Penguin Random House are yet to announce a change in release, but a source close to the Sussexes has toldThe Telegraphthat the couple have decided to postpone the release of the memoir as they enter a period of mourning.

Despite pressure from the public, there are currently no plans to pull the book from publication, with the manuscript, ghostwritten by American author JR Moehringer, finished some time ago.

And, it even seems new chapters covering the latest events in royal history could be added.

Harry’s book has already worried the royal family, with some members reportedly afraid it may be used to settle scores and disagreements.

And according to Victoria Ward, the Royal Correspondent at The Telegraph, no members of the Royal family, their aides or lawyers have had sight of the book in any form – nor have they been informed when it is due to be published.

The past week has seen the Royals put their feuding to one side though, and unite in their grief following the monarch's death.

Harry and Meghan reunited with the new Prince and Princess of Wales on Saturday, as the group who had previously been dubbed the ‘Fab Four’ greeted members of the public in Windsor.

The Duke of Sussex also reunited with his father, now King Charles III for the first time since the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee earlier this week.

Harry then walked alongside his relatives in the procession following the Queen’s coffin from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday.

The Duchess travelled by car alongside the Countess of Wessex, departing Buckingham Palace shortly after the Princess of Wales and Queen Consort.

The Sussexes will join other members of the family again on Monday, for the Queen's state funeral.
