Mum's Health Struggle
My parents celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last week. 67 years! It’s pretty amazing. Dad’s going to be 90 next year and mum’s 86.
Mum’s struggling at the moment, though. She’s not doing great. She’s suffering a bit and declining.
I was with her a few months ago. We’ve just got to be with her as much as possible. It’s just age. She’s got all sorts of things going on now.
67 years of marriage is such an achievement but it’s also such a sad thing when they’ve been together for so long and age is getting on top of them now.
Will Emily and I reach 67 years? Well I love her deeply so why not?
When you get married you want it to be forever. So lets hope we make 67, although right now we only have seven.
Don't Worry, Be Happy
I’ve always told Princess that when she puts things on social media it’s best to always either turn the comments off or block or ignore anybody who is negative.
But when I saw someone accusing her of editing one of her pictures, and she then replied, my comment was bascially not to get into the habit of worrying about what people say.
And this applies to everyone. Just be your beautiful self and enjoy life. I just don’t want her worrying about trolls, because if you do it can be a a downward spiral!
Princess Is Feeling The Pressure
Princess went back to school and was like, “Dad, I can’t do this.”
It’s her GCSE year, but I told her the time will fly past and she just needs to stay focused.
We have lots of open days at colleges lined up. Emily found one near us that looks brilliant for what she wants to do.
She loves fashion. She has a beautiful voice and maybe eventually that’s what she’ll do. But I don’t think she’ll do it yet.
Junior’s doing great at college. He’s about to receive his diploma. He did very well. I’m so proud of him.

Our Grief For The Queen
I was between two shows of Grease in London when we heard the devastating news that our wonderful Queen was being treated by doctors at Balmoral.
The atmosphere in the theatre was extremely sombre. Then, a few hours later, we were told the incredibly sad news that our beloved Queen had passed away.
I really cannot describe the feeling in the theatre last Thursday.
Like so many people, I feel very emotional knowing that she has gone. It was a very sad day indeed.
I’ve been privileged enough to meet the Queen three times and can’t describe the honour I felt being in her presence.
She was always incredibly polite and I was always incredibly nervous!

Doing It For The Kids
I was at Parliament as part of my role as an ambassador for the Caudwell Children charity, as we want to push for the new Government to have someone in the Cabinet speaking on behalf of children.
Nobody at Cabinet level currently speaks on behalf of children, on topics such as obesity, education or even abuse.
We have ministers talking about lots of other things, but no one is focusing on children. It makes no sense, and future generations are going to suffer as a consequence.
We really do need someone to speak on their behalf.
