Jeremy Clarkson left social media fans thrilled earlier today when it was announced he would be returning to Amazon Prime later this month. One of those excited fans was television presenter Lorraine Kelly, who instantly took to social media to respond.

Oh this will be good.

Doncaster-born Clarkson, 61, took to his Twitter page, letting his fans know that the latest series of The Grand Tour will air later this month, with a lockdown special.

Jeremy and co-stars Richard Hammond and James May will embark on a road trip across Scotland to celebrate the great 70s American cars they saw in TV shows as kids.

They also endeavoured to find out just why these amazing vehicles never took off in Britain, given that their Dads were all driving terrible Austin Allegros.

The trio will get behind the wheel of a Cadillac Coupe De Ville, as driven by Elvis, a Lincoln Continental, as driven by Jock Ewing of Dallas fame, and a Buick Riviera, as piloted by Clint Eastwood.

Sharing the trailer for the latest instalment, Jeremy said: “The first of my news announcements this week is…” as the clip started.

Shortly after posting, the tweet instantly received thousands of retweets and replies from his fans, as well as over 42,000 likes.

Known for her love of her home country, Scotland, ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly was made up after catching Jeremy’s tweet.

In view of her 649,000 followers, she penned: “Oh this will be good.”

Jeremy’s fans couldn’t wait either, with one penning: “LZTSSS F*****G GO [sic].”

While a second added: “Oh yes, I’ve to wait for this. And can’t wait for another series of Clarkson’s Farm.”

“July 30th is gonna be fun,” wrote a third.

Before a fourth tweeted: “I’m gonna have soooo much fun watching this with friends [sic].”

Jeremy, James, and Richard will be causing chaos on the streets of Edinburgh and will take on Abbie in a showdown on a racetrack.

They’ll also be heading off to stage an epic Cold War shootout between the worst Soviet and American cars ever made.

The trio will also find themselves homeless in the Highlands after they suffer a series of setbacks.

Showrunner Andy Wilman will jump to their aid when he asks the trio to modify their cars and head to the Outer Hebrides for their toughest test yet.

However, while many fans were left excited with the news — others were left disappointed to hear that series two of Clarkson’s Farm hasn’t begun filming yet.

“It’s the full stops at the end for me, that clearly means he’s announcing series 2 of Clarkson’s Farm tomorrow,” tweeted one.

While a second added: “@primevideouk @AmazonUK what on earth are you doing?! Get series 2 signed off, now! @JeffBezos.”

Jeremy has since confirmed in reference to his farming series: “No. We aren’t. Write to Amazon, it’s their decision.”
