Meghan Markle has announced her latest move in the wellness sector amid rumours she's set to relaunch her lifestyle blog, The Tig.
While many celebrities now have wellness brands – think Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop, Kourtney Kardashian’s Poosh and Kate Hudson’s INBLOOM – the Duchess was one of the first to launch one, in the years before she became a royal.
Covering everything from her thoughts on the latest fashion trends to travel diaries, recipes and relationship advice, the 41 year old was active on the blog from 2014 to 2017.
The site was named after her favourite red wine, Tignanello, but it was shut down just months before she announced her engagement to Prince Harry.
And now, as Meghan gears up for the launch of what many people are calling, The Tig 2.0, the Duchess has delved into the archives to contribute one of her favourite recipes to a celebrity cookbook.
Meghan is just one of the famous faaces and influential names set to provide recipes for The World Central Kitchen Cookbook by Spanish chef and founder of not-for-profit organisation World Central Kitchen (WCK), Jose Andres.
The mum of two’s contribution – a recipe for a lemon olive oil cake – was announced in a post on the the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell website on Tuesday.
It read: “This weekend, longtime friend and partner of The Archewell Foundation, Chef Jose Andres announced the upcoming release of ‘The World Central Kitchen Cookbook: Feeding Humanity, Feeding Hope.”
According to the website, the book is a “captivating collection of stories and recipes from renowned chefs, local cooks, and friends of the global nonprofit" all designed to feed communities that have been impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
Other notable contributors include former first lady Michelle Obama – who has shared her breakfast tacos recipe – as well as actress and author Ayesha Curry.
This isn’t the first time Meghan has been involved in the world of charity cookbooks. Back in 2017, she worked on Together: Our Community Cookbook with The Hubb Community Kitchen, formed by women displaced by the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017.
She contributed a foreword for the cookbook, which included 50 recipes from the west London community.
