Toby Aromolaran has been branded “muggy” by Love Island fans after he took to TikTok to break his silence on his recent breakup from Chloe Burrows.
The couple, who came second in season seven of Love Island behind Liam Reardon and Millie Court, officially broke things off earlier this week.
"Chloe and Toby put everything into their relationship – but it just hasn't worked out between them," a source revealed.
"There's been no wrongdoing, they have simply grown apart, and over time realised it's better for them both to split."
Now Toby, 27, has spoken out about the breakup in a TikTok video that has amassed over 2.5m views, 234k likes and hundreds of pointed comments.
“I don't need BeReal – I need to BeSingle,” the semi-pro footballer said in the clip, while smiling at the camera.
But fans didn’t take kindly to the viral video, with many saying his “age was showing” and that he needs to be humbled.
With 26k likes, the most agreed-upon comment reads: “Babe, Chloe was the best thing to happen to u remember that king.”
“No whey, that’s a violation – that’s very muggy,” another person wrote.
A third fan added: “Nah i’m team chloe this is out of order.”
A source told MailOnline Chloe and the couple is still living together in their Essex home but are working to make arrangements to go their separate ways.
In a bid to beat the breakup blues, Chloe, 27, jetted off to Northern Africa with former co-star and friend Millie Court, 25.
Offering an update on Twitter, Chloe wrote: “You know I f***ed off for a week to Morocco with Millie… yo all I had to say was I want to go and she did everything. Millie Court deserves the f***ing world.”
On Instagram, she added: "Took a break and f***ed off to Morocco and want to award Millie Court the award for being the best f***ing friend I've ever had."
MailOnline's source stated: "'Naturally, Chloe has found the breakup difficult but being able to spend time abroad with Millie has given her the space she needed to start moving on.”
Some fans think that Chloe hinted at the breakup last week as she responded to a tweet from Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill, who won the competition at the time with ex-boyfriend and Olympic athlete Greg O'Shea.
Amber wrote: “International lesbian day and nobody wifed me yet.”
In response, Chloe wrote, “I will”, before her friend questioned: “What about Tobes?”
