Sharon Gaffka and Aaron Francis got to know each other a little better under the covers during Sunday night's instalment of Love Island.

The pair looked very much besotted as they shared the season's first clinch in bed, locking lips after the lights went out.

The lovebirds began their stint on the show with other islanders, however, Aaron saw no chemistry with his first partner Chloe Burrows and Sharon didn't find a spark with Hugo Hammond.

While still with their non-romantic partners, Sharon and Aaron shared a kiss last week. Friday's episode of Love Island then saw them officially couple up together.

And in the hours that followed, the good-looking pair enjoyed further smooches before taking things the bedroom.

Love Island fans were thrilled to see the romantic development as they rushed to social media to express their thoughts.

"Wait why do i like sharon and aaron together can feel them becoming a power couple #loveisland," one person tweeted.

Another person wrote: "Ngl I really like Sharon and Aaron together #LoveIsland."

A third added: "For me I feel currently that Aaron and Sharon are the strongest couple in the game right now. It's an early slow burn relationship which I like yet they are both COMMITTED to each other."

Meanwhile, the show ended on a major cliffhanger on Sunday night as newcomer Rachel Finni still has to decide who to boot from the villa – Brad McClelland or Chuggs Wallis.

Rachel had been given 24 hours to get to know the boys before choosing who to re-couple with.

Sitting down in the beach hut to discuss who she is attracted to, the beauty explained: "I feel like I haven't even scratched the surface.

"I don't know anything about him. I want to get to know Chuggs," Rachel added.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
