Love Island stars say Farmer Will is no friend of mine and accuse star of making stuff up

Love Island stars Casey O'Gorman and Tom Clare have hit back at claims they've been leaving fellow Islander Will Young out of their plans. In fact, they say it's actually the other way round, and that "there's only so much effort you can make with someone".

The trio were close in the villa, branding themselves the "three musketeers", but since rejoining the outside world, their friendship has hit the rocks.

"It's tough, a lot has happened since the show," Casey said on The Nikki & Brie Show podcast on Wednesday 4 October.

Tom quickly jumped in to stress that they had tried their best to make time for their pal, and that they'd even suggested heading to his farm for a catch-up. But he claimed they'd "got nothing back".

"There's only so much effort you can make with someone until you're like, 'Look, this guy is not making effort with me. I can't do it anymore.' It's a shame as we got on so well," he said.

The pair also shared their anger at the TikTok-famous farmer, who has unfollowed his former pals on social media, for talking to the press about the rumours surrounding their fractured friendship. At the time, Will said he and girlfriend Jessie Wynter were busy and "just focusing on themselves".

Casey confessed he was confused over the reasoning behind Will speaking to the press before replying to their many messages. He then took to the Islander group chat to ask him what was going on. However, Casey claimed he "still ignored those messages".

Tom added: "If he'd turned to us and said, 'Look boys I'm super busy, I'm with Jessie,' I'd be like, 'Cool, I appreciate that. But for someone to go to a newspaper and make stuff up, that's no friend of mine and not the people I surround myself with."

Casey said he feels like the public have only heard one side of the story when it comes to their rift, and that people have questioned the pair for "excluding Will from the group". But he suggests that's the "complete opposite" of how things really went, revealing that when he reached out to him to tell him he'd bought Will's book, he "even ignored that".

Tom suggested Will's radio silence had left him questioning whether their friendship was even genuine in the first place. And in what appeared to be a further dig, stressed that he still makes time for friends "no matter who I'm with".
