Louise Thompson shares intimate moment she finally met baby son after traumatic birth

Louise Thompson has revealed the moment she met her son Leo for the first time following his traumatic birth.

The 32 year old is currently back in hospital after weeks of feeling unwell and told fans she’d be sharing “invaluable baby bits” now that she has more spare time, as she gets used to spending time away from her baby boy.

Uploading a previously unseen clip of baby Leo in the hospital, just hours after giving birth, Louise celebrated her growing love for her son, who has just turned eight months old.

In the footage, fiancé Ryan Libbey can be seen cradling their newborn boy, who appears to have lots of hospital wires hanging from him.

“We’re going to be best mates, aren’t we?” Ryan is heard saying in the clip to the little one, as he kisses him on the nose.

“I can’t believe this was the first time I met you 8 months ago today,” Louise captioned the sweet post.

“You have grown up so fast, the time has just hurricaned right through us. You’ve grown from strength to strength and have developed into the perfect little chubby bundle. I’m so proud of you for overcoming adversity and for not letting our weaknesses overshadow you my divine fezzy ferret face.

“Our love has built slowly but I do love you more and more as each day passes (I knew this would happen because it happened with the dogs too). If you are worried about loving your baby, I promise it comes with time.

“I was fairly preoccupied at the beginning (to say the least) but finally have all the normal parent feels like missing him when he’s asleep and looking at photos of him when I’m not with him.”

Louise discussed the moments she's loved in seeing her boy develop over the past few months as she continued: "I love kissing your tiny little smelly forehead and I laugh hysterically when you press up and pop your head up above your cot railings like a meerkat. I can’t not laugh. I love these things.

“I am so damn grateful to be in a more lucid place to watch you grow and explore the world around you because these are the good stages for us. You have become properly FUN in the last month and I can’t wait to see your sassy little personality shine through.

“I’m wishing any mums (and dads) struggling with mental or physical health all the love and blessings in the world.

“It dawned on me recently when I felt so weak with UC that I could hardly lift Leo more than once a day that there are mums with chronic conditions and terminal illnesses who don’t have the strength or ability to look after their babies and my heart bleeds for you guys.

"Sending prayers and buckets of hope, hope, hope for those going through a tough time rn; and for those of you who are well, please cherish every moment. "

Louise finished her post by paying tribute to Ryan, as she said: "Love to you too, the Rydog for always holding the fort together and for keeping us safe in a little. Most men would have run a mile."
