Charlene White, 42, has said that she will probably be covering up when it comes to the shower scenes on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! due to her own “insecurities” about her body. The Loose Women star admitted she wasn’t insecure about her appearance, but instead would rather remain discreet when washing, without exposing her figure “to the entire country”.

I don’t want to show the entire country my body.

Charlene was asked in a recent interview about her thoughts on the famous shower scenes like Mylenne Klass’ and whether she has any fears.

She replied as reported by the Mirror: “I think what is wonderful about a show such as this is that it shows real life and real scenarios and real insecurities and there will be those who are really secure within their bodies and really happy stripping off and I will applaud that til the cows come home.

“It is brilliant but there will always be those who are also very tentative about doing that.

“I would probably come under that umbrella to be honest. It is not that I am necessarily insecure about my body, I also don’t want to show the entire country my body.

“But I think there is room for everybody to be honest and I don’t think anybody should be judged as to whether they want to show everything off or they would rather shower with a swimsuit on.”

Charlene will also be taking a break from Loose Women while on the show, with the presenter breaking down in tears when discussing her co-stars.

She admitted: “They have been amazing to be honest and they think that I have got balls of steel and will be able to breeze through it.

“There is probably an element of yeah that is great you see me behind a desk and I do a live show and I know what I am doing, but this is completely outside of my comfort zone.

“They feel like I can do it and that kind of belief helps to drive me. I am really lucky to work with an amazing group of women who are incredibly encouraging.

“Actually as I talk about them now, oh goodness me I am getting a bit emotional I think, I have just not seen them in a couple of weeks!”

Charlene is heading into the jungle camp now having completed the challenge The Ledge, which is held on the roof of a 32-storey building in Australia.

This comes as it was claimed that comedian Babatunde Aléshé was too scared to complete the plank challenge.

For the inaugural trial of the series, Babatunde was joined by retired England footballer Jill Scott and Loose Women star Charlene White, The Sun reported.

They were tasked with walking out on a plank suspended at a great height over the 32-storey building.

An onlooker said: “Babatunde was really struggling during The Ledge and everyone felt for him.

“It truly is a terrifying task and no one can grasp the scale of it until you are there. Jill and Charlene were being really encouraging of Babatunde but to no avail.”

The source explained that for an hour, the Celebrity Gogglebox star “stood there thinking and willing himself to do it” however, “in the end he chose not to do it”.

The insider continued: “Babatunde naturally appeared upset but there is nothing to be ashamed of.

“You need nerves of steel to do that and not many would have the guts.”

Other celebrities who faced The Ledge included Mike, Boy George and Love Island star Olivia Attwood.
