I would love to meet up with Prince Harry, I relate to him,’ says Kerry Katona

Kerry Katona has revealed she'd "love" to meet Prince Harry to discuss their mental health experiences as she can "relate" to him.

Writing in her weekly column, the 42-year-old discussed Jeremy Clarkson's apology to Harry following his comments about wife Meghan Markle – and admitted she feels for the couple.

She said: "Prince Harry and wife Meghan have refused to accept Jeremy Clarkson’s apology after he said he “hated” her in a newspaper column.

"It’s been reported Amazon is now cutting ties with him. I believe in freedom of speech but it’s different when it’s hateful comments. It’s very unnecessary.

"I’m halfway through Harry’s memoir and loving it. I don’t think he’s bashing his family. He’s just telling his truth. I relate to how he and Meghan have been treated by the press."

Kerry, who recently admitted she's feeling frustrated after gaining three stone, added: "I’d love to meet him and speak about our experiences with mental health."

Kerry's comments come after Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, issued a statement in response to Jeremy's apology.

After the public backlash to the article, which came out in The Sun in December, former Top Gear star Jeremy issued a lengthy statement to Instagram, in which he apologised profusely for the incident.

Jeremy, 62, said he reached out to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Christmas Day to apologise, although the royal couple's statement, responding to his Instagram apology, claims that he only reached out to Prince Harry and not Meghan.

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: “On December 25, 2022, Mr Clarkson wrote solely to Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. The contents of his correspondence were marked private and confidential.

“While a new public apology has been issued today by Mr Clarkson, what remains to be addressed is his long-standing pattern of writing articles that spread hate rhetoric, dangerous conspiracy theories and misogyny.

“Unless each of his other pieces were also written “in a hurry”, as he states, it is clear that this is not an isolated incident shared in haste, but rather a series of articles shared in hate."

In the column, Jeremy said: "At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, 'Shame!' and throw lumps of excrement at her."

He also declared that he hates the Duchess of Sussex more than Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland, and the serial killer Rose West.
