Holly Hagan has spoken of her horror after discovering her friend's father was in a group trolling her online.
The former Geordie Shore star, who is set to wed her fiance Jacob Blyth this year, spoke candidly of the cruel comments she has received since she first appeared on the MTV reality show in 2011.
Speaking on the Should I Delete That? podcast, the 29 year old revealed that a Facebook group had been set up to defame her with vile comments and rumours.
"It was hard to read, there wasn't such thing as an internet troll then. People were just saying it, they didn't care," Holly said.
She added: "They were making up all these rumours and saying really horrific things."
When the television personality asked if she knew anyone behind the comments, Holly replied: "I knew these people – one of them was my friend's dad."
The podcast hosts Alex Light and Em Clarkson were left stunned as they exclaimed: "Oh my God, full-on adult."
Holly went on the reveal that other people responsible for saying mean things about her on the Facebook account she had previously considered "really good friends".
"We'd go out drinking together when I was 16-19 when I got on TV. All of a sudden, they were saying these awful things about me," she explained.
Holly heartbreakingly added that the main trolling comment she always received was being called a "fat s***".
The star is now focusing on her dream wedding to beau Jacob after being forced to postpone it last year.
Holly previously explained her decision behind having one wedding in the summer and one in the winter.
"What made you decide two weddings? Isn't it stressful enough planning one? Fyi excited for both :)", one fan asked the star on Instagram.
Holly revealed: "I want a summer and winter wedding. Also, don't be surprised if you see us renewing our vows every five years. Any excuse for a party."
She added: "We have a date reserved with a beautiful venue!
"But we won't do the UK wedding until after the Ibiza one."
Holly's former Geordie Shore co-star Charlotte Crosby is set to be one of her bridesmaids.
Earlier this month, Charlotte told OK!: "Yes! I'm one of her bridesmaids, so I am so excited. It's all very dependent on what's going to happen in the world right now.
"But it will be incredible when it finally happens. I'm so happy for her!"
