Ferne McCann and Sam Faiers risk run-in as they attend Pride of Britain Awards

Ferne McCann and Sam Faiers risked an awkward run-in as they both attended the 2022 Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards on Monday, which is taking place at Grosvenor House, London.

The former TOWIE stars, aged 32 and 31, attended the annual event after the recentvoicenote drama , where an anonymous Instagram account started sharing recordings, which appear to be Ferne's voice.

Appearing to put the drama behind them, Ferne and Sam almost risked an awkward run-in as they both attended the annual star-studded event separately.

Ferne opted for a long-sleeved brown gown, which featured a high-neck, cut-out detailing on the stomach and mermaid silhouette skirt.

The reality star styled her brunette locks into a sweptback hairdo, she added a slick of glamorous make-up for the event.

While Sam, who was joined by partner Paul Knightley, opted for a similar style dress as she wore a long-sleeved brown gown, which featured feathered cuffs and a thigh-high slit.

The mother-of-three styled her brunette locks into a sweptback bun, adding a slick of radiant make-up and delicate silver jewellery.

It comes after an anonymous Instagram account started sharing recordings, which appear to be Ferne's voice, last month.

The first clip sensationally appears to feature her using the C-word to talk about her fellow TOWIE star and former BFF Sam, adding: "Her thighs are so big and I looked really skinny today."

While in another voice note, a woman, allegedly Ferne, can be heard saying: "She is just a narcissistic b***h.

"It’s just so s**t on people that have worked hard, because she’s got a big following. It’s just ridiculous — it’s out of order."

Ferne and Sam are thought to have been very close at one time with their friendship pre-dating TOWIE.

Ferne was thought to still be very close to Sam's sister, Billie, but their relationship may also be tested after a third voice note dragged her into the row.

While Sam has sought comfort from new pals and brushed off the drama by spending time with her family, a distraught Ferne reportedly had her "life turned upside down" and allegedly called in the police, who are "tracking the parties responsible".

OK! contacted representatives for Ferne and Sam at the time. A representative for Billie declined to comment.

While in a statement released to OK! on Sunday 2 October, Essex Police said: "We are investigating a report of malicious communication which was made to us in Brentwood on Thursday 29 September.

"We have spoken to the victim, a woman aged in her 30s, and our enquiries are ongoing."
