Like a model in the making: Ellie Bamber, 26, rocks a striking £1,500 jacket during a lunch with her manager in London – after the actress was handpicked by Kate Moss herself to portray her in an upcoming biopic

Her new role would make any actress green with envy – but Ellie Bamber is proving that she has supermodel style.

Spotted for the first time since news broke that she will play Kate Moss in a new film, the star, 26, looked striking on her birthday in a Barrie cashmere and cotton jacket worth £1,500, and emerald trousers.

She was leaving a lunch on Thursday at a London restaurant with manager mother Zoe. 

She stars in Moss & Freud, which tells how the pregnant model posed naked for a portrait by artist Lucian Freud in 2002. Ms Moss, 49, an executive producer, chose Ms Bamber herself.

Ms Bamber previously starred in The Trial Of Christine Keeler.
