EastEnders James Bye’s pregnant wife cruelly ‘mum shamed’ by trolls with ‘fat’ jibe

EastEnders star James Bye and his wife Victoria are busy preparing to expect their fourth child together.

While James, 38, and his wife, 40, received many supportive messages after announcing their happy news online over the New Year, Victoria has now revealed she has experienced "mum shaming" with cruel trolls sending her messages about her weight.

She began to write on Instagram: "Well you lovely lot… thank you. Your words, support and stories shared have meant the absolute world to us.

"We’ve read and smiled and are trying our best to like or reply to everyone who took a minute out of their day to send us some love."

Victoria added: "Truly, every last one of you… you’re all just amazing. Apart from the crazy trolls & keyboard warriors… there’s always a few. Yes, I will get fat, but thanks for letting me know!"

The mum-of-three went on to say that despite being nervous to share her news online, she is "so glad she did".

Victoria continued: "Even if you've never known the heart break of a lost baby, the ‘what if’ with any pregnancy is always there.

"One lady messaged me that her fear was there ‘with every wipe of a wee’. And I’m nodding along – Yes – exactly that – you’ve been there too… and it really was like a big virtual hug."

James and Victoria have been married for 11 years, and are already parents to Edward, eight, Louis, six, and Hugo, three.

Moments after the pair announced the news of expanding their brood, many of James' Strictly Come Dancing pals waded in to congratulate him and Victoria.

Corrie star Kym Marsh wrote: "So so happy for you all," with a love heart, while Ellie Taylor said: "Huge congratulations darlings!!!" with three love hearts.

James' former professional dance partner Amy Dowden shared: "So happy for your beautiful family xxxx," while Ellie Simmonds added: "Congratulations Xx so exciting!"

James' EastEnders co-star Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater on the soap, commented with a love heart emoji.

It comes after the couple admitted they "never thought" they would be pregnant again despite always wanting a big family.

They wrote to their fans: "We never thought it was going to happen. We always wanted a big family but after all my endometriosis struggles… heartbreaking miscarriages, seeing fertility doctors & 3 years of ovulation testing & disappointment – we’d honestly given up.

"I remember thinking right. Enough. I gathered up the pram & baby things & gave them all away. We both knew it couldn’t go on, the constant hope."

They later added: "I think after losing a baby you can never fully let go and enjoy… despite the reassuring symptoms (thanks all day ‘morning’ sickness ) and the doctors all nodding… you can’t let go of the fear."
