Confident Rebel Wilson looks fit and healthy during LA hike after 5.5st weight loss

Rebel Wilson looked fit and healthy as she was spotted on a hike in Los Angeles on Sunday, after shedding 5.5 stone.

The 41 year old has been on a dedicated fitness journey since she declared 2020 her ‘year of health’, committing to a regular hiking regime that led her to reach her goal weight by the end of the year.

Rebel displayed the results of her hard work as she was photographed walking around Griffith Park in the sweltering LA sun.

After her hiking session, the comedian removed the blue T-shirt she was wearing to cool off, revealing a black crop top underneath, along with a pair of matching shiny capri leggings and panelled lace-up trainers.

Rebel kept her signature blonde hair off her face by tucking it into a ponytail, which she styled underneath a black cap she was also sporting with a white logo printed across the front.

She wore aviator sunglasses to accessorise her workout look, bringing some Hollywood glamour and also wore AirPods.

Rebel’s hiking appearance follows what has been an impressive two years for the Pitch Perfect star, who has maintained a healthier lifestyle after making a promise to herself to stay on track with her fitness regime.

The actress aimed by the end of 2020 to reach a target weight of 75kg – which she achieved – and has continued to keep hiking as a form of working out, letting her followers in on her exercise sessions along the way.

Rebel often gives updates on Instagram on her gym visits as well as her latest hikes, which she takes in Australia and in America – both countries she currently splits her time between.

As well as a fitness regime, Rebel has also attributed her weight loss to switching up her diet considerably, stripping her once “heavy carb” intake.

“Before I was probably eating 3,000 calories most days, and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry,” Rebel told People magazine.

“So, I've really changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't used to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast.”
