Charlotte Crosby hits out at Ulrika Jonsson for comparing her lips to two tyres

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has hit back at Ulrika Jonsson after she compared her lips to "two Michelin tyres".

On Christmas Eve, journalist and TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson published a piece in the Sun newspaper titled "Plastic's not fantastic, ladies" where she talked about her dislike to lip fillers.

She went on to mention Charlotte by name and said: "Charlotte Crosby of Geordie Shore fame has posted pictures of herself looking battered and bruised after having her lip fillers dissolved.

"Clearly, the prospect of carrying on walking around as if you have two Michelin tyres attached to your mouth no longer appeals."

It comes just days after Charlotte showed off her newly dissolved lips after deciding to go natural after giving birth to baby Alba.

Charlotte took to her Instagram story to hit back at Ulrika's comments. She said: "I can't believe we still live in a world where women still want to tear other women down and men also for that matter."

She continued: "The woman who wrote this article has managed to take a swipe at 3 people in this short piece.

"I cannot help but feel slightly sorry for people who feel the need to tear others apart in a desperate bid for attention. Or to grab a few more readers."

Charlotte announced last month that she wanted to dissolve her lip fillers after eight years as she thought they looked too big on the TV screen.

She told her Instagram followers that she found her lips to be “just so big” and that she “hates the way they look on telly.”

The star went on to say that even though she hadn't put fillers in them for over two years, they still looked "bigger than ever" which is possibly because of water retention caused by her pregnancy, she said.

It comes after Charlotte gave birth to baby Alba in October with her boyfriend Jake Ankers.

Charlotte's dad Gary was the one who announced the happy news on Twitter.

He proudly wrote on his Twitter handle, TheDiddyMan1: "So, officially a grand father! Little girl, all is well. Excited for the new chapter in our little family."

Charlotte recently announced her daughter's godparents in an emotional post on Instagram.

Charlotte confirmed that In The Style founder Adam Frisby and his fiancé Jamie Corbett had been asked to take on the role.

Adam took to his Instagram page to share his and his fiancé’s delight at being selected as godparents.

He captioned the post: “We got asked a very special question tonight… to be little Alba’s godparents!

"Our hearts are so full and we can’t wait to be the best god parents to such a beautiful little girl and make the best memories together."
