Chadwick Boseman‘s final resting place has been revealed.
The late actor was laid to rest near his hometown in South Carolina on September 3. He was buried at Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in the town of Belton, which is just 11 miles from his hometown of Anderson.
The Associated Press obtained a copy of Chadwick‘s death certificate and it says that the actor passed away at his home in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park neighborhood on August 28.
Chadwick‘s cause of death was listed as “multiple organ failure” and the underlying cause is colon cancer, as his family revealed when they announced his tragic death.
The death certificate showed that Chadwick had surgery to remove the cancer in 2016 and he also had laparoscopic surgery in March 2020 “to remove cancer that had metastasized.”
Days after the funeral in South Carolina, Chadwick‘s wife, family members, and close friends (including some Black Panther cast members) were spotted at a memorial in California.
We continue to send our thoughts and condolences to Chadwick‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
