Liberals tax plan to pay off the deficit. The poll, conducted by Insights West for the Global BC News Network, found only 27 per cent of the 1,007 adults surveyed are in favor of a Liberal government paying off its deficit through increased taxes. While the tax proposal has been a priority for both the provinces New Democrats and Greens, the poll points to a deep-seated public opposition. While the poll is not scientific, with the margin of error of plus or minus 3. 1 percentage points, it appears to confirm other polling around British Columbians not liking the idea.
