As the world waits with bated breath for Britney Spears’ bombshell memoir The Woman In Me to drop, the singer took to social media again to share more cryptic messages.
The 41-year-old Princess of Pop posted a photograph on recently deleted and reactivated Instagram of a white heart-shaped birthday cake with lit candles on it.
Written in the middle with pink icing was the phrase: “See you in Hell.”
The cake was lined with glacé cherries and sat on a crumpled satin sheet.
Britney kept the comments firmly off on the post and instead captioned the snap with emojis of painting nails.

She followed up with another image of a hand under running water over a pink bath.
Again, Britney used the same nail painting emojis with the comments off.
It’s not clear whom the “see you in Hell” cake message was aimed at but it appeared to be stark sign to her critics as she prepares to reveal all in the forthcoming book, which lands tomorrow (October 24).
Both of these images were from photographer Marta Blue with the Baby One More Time… sharing a different snap on her Instagram in recent days from the art director.

She previously posted a snap of a key embedded under a faceless woman’s skin in her chest.
The two latest posts come after Britney issued a statement on her social media accounts offering some clarity about her intentions behind the memoir.
In a lengthy note, Britney said: “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!! That was me then … that is in the past!!!
“I don’t like the headlines I am reading … that’s exactly why I quit the business four years ago !!!”

She went on to say: “This is actually a book I didn’t know needed to be written … although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future !!!”
The star said she hoped to “enlighten” people who feel “particularly alone” or “hurt or misunderstood”.
Britney concluded: “Again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it’s dumb and silly !!!
“I have moved on since then !!! #TheWomanInMe [sic].”
Media outlet People has already been teasing some snippets from the book including Britney’s revelation of having an abortion aged 19 after falling pregnant with Justin Timberlake’s baby.
In the excerpt, Britney spoke about wanting to keep the child but due to both her and Justin’s young ages at the time, she claimed she was convinced to have a termination.
Moreover, Britney claimed Justin played his guitar after Britney was left sobbing over the decision to end the pregnancy.
The Woman In Me by Britney Spears will be released on October 24
