Britney Spears offers mum Lynne an olive branch in fresh wave of Insta posts

Britney Spears has made an attempt to get in contact with her mother Lynne by posting a message to her on her Instagram.

The 41 year pop star posted a photo of herself from Mexico with messy hair and without clothes, looking straight into the camera.

This was an attempt to get in contact with her mother, after previously claiming she was angry at her for not helping more during her conservatorship.

Britney captioned the photo: "Instagram doesn’t like posts of people revealing their bodies anymore so here’s a selfie of me in Mexico !!! Mom and Dad … I crossed the border and I made it !!! After no coffee for 15 years …

"Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!"

This was the first of four similar looking posts, including two videos and two photos which Britney posted on her Instagram, which are all from her hotel room in Mexico.

Back in August this year, Britney's mum Lynne hit back after her daughter claimed her family "threw her away" during the conservatorship.

Britney also reportedly claimed to be more angry at her mum Lynne than her dad because she didn't speak out against it.

According to Billboard, she said: "I'm honestly more angry at my mom because I heard when reporters would call her at the time, and ask questions of what was going on, she would go innocently hide in the house and she wouldn’t speak up."

Lynne took to Instagram to seemingly respond to the audio and asking Britney to speak to her in person.

Alongside a photo of her and her daughter, Lynne wrote: "Britney, your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes! And also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships!

"I have never and will never turn my back on you! Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything.

"I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only, eye to eye, in private".

So far, Lynne has not made a public response to Britney's Instagram post.

Britney had been fighting to end the complex legal arrangement she was placed under in 2008 which allowed her father Jamie to control her freedom and finances.

Her conservatorship ended after 13 years in November 2021 when a judge in Los Angeles terminated the arrangement.

In June this year, Britney married her long-time partner Sam Asghari at her home in Los Angeles at a ceremony which included high-profile celebrity guests including Madonna, Donatella Versace, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore.
