Vanessa Feltz has scoffed at the suggestion Phillip Schofield will be making an appearance on either I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! or Celebrity Big Brother, saying she would be “absolutely flabbergasted” if the rumours turn out to be true.
Phillip withdrew from TV after stepping away from his This Morning slot with Holly Willoughby and admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger colleague.
The formerly popular ITV star’s image as a family man was tarnished, and he was quickly dropped by his agency YMU, leading to a tearful BBC interview earlier this year where he spoke about having dark thoughts.
It has now been suggested that, almost six months on from the original scandal, Phillip could make a major TV comeback on a reality show – but, according to Vanessa, that’s unlikely to ever happen.
“I don’t know anything about it [the rumours] all. I would be absolutely flabbergasted if that were true,” the TalkTV host clarified to OK! magazine.

Meanwhile, if Nigel Farage might have seemed an unlikely candidate for the series, Vanessa thinks an appearance by Phillip is even more so.
“Philip Schofield, I would say put your money on him going nowhere near the place!” she decisively declared.
As for becoming a Celebrity Big Brother contestant, she confirmed: “I wouldn’t put any money on that either. I think absolutely not to both of those.”
Vanessa has had a long-time friendship with Phillip, and stood by him during his This Morning scandal, having been pictured embracing him during a trip to London restaurant Little Bird in the aftermath.

At the time, she stated: “I’m absolutely devastated on behalf of everyone. I’ve always been good friends with Holly and Phil, I’ve been on that show for years and years.
“I just feel very sorry for anybody who’s been hurt or implicated in what’s happened.”
Vanessa went on Celebrity Big Brother herself way back in 2001, where she met Boyzone’s Keith McDuffy.
The boy band crooner later introduced her to ex-boyfriend Ben Ofoedu of Phats and Small, whom she ended up dating for almost two decades before splitting earlier this year.

However, she later described being in the Big Brother house as a “complete living nightmare from hell” and is adamant that it would probably not be the right environment for Phillip.
Meanwhile, moneysaving expert Martin Lewis is hotly tipped to become Phillip’s replacement on This Morning, according to reports.
OBLG placed the odds on the 51-year-old becoming a permanent host at 20/1.
The star has previously stood out as a successful host, even occasionally taking on the role on Good Morning Britain – but so far there is no official word on whether he has a future presenting This Morning.
