James Cleverly explains why Israel wants to eradicate Hamas
United Agents’ Head of Comedy Kitty Laing has been called out on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, for retweeting Israel-Hamas content.
The top agent was accused of “promoting mockery of Jews murdered in terror attacks” today by screenwriter Lee Kern, the mind behind Oscar-nominated Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, in view of his 32,700 followers.
Since then United Agents has announced it is “conducting a full and thorough investigation” into the high-profile British comedy agent.
Kitty, who represents the likes of Katherine Ryan, Nick Mohammed and Jamie Demetriou, apologised this afternoon before seemingly deleting her X account.
United Agents also released a statement, which read: “We have been made aware of social media posts by one of our senior agents this morning.

“These are not the views of United Agents Ltd. We are conducting a full and thorough investigation into this immediately.”
In a since-deleted tweet, Kitty wrote: “I would like to unreservedly apologise for my retweets on social media surrounding the horrendous attacks in Israel on October 7th.
“With hindsight, I realise how naive I have been and that much of the information on social media surrounding the conflict is unsubstantiated and hurtful.

“I should have taken time to consider this beforehand,” she added.
In his X thread this morning, Lee wrote: “I’m an Oscar-nominated writer who got there without an agent (yes that’s a flex) so I don’t give a f*** about deferring to agents.
“No one will stop me making a living. I’ll drive a cab if needed. So let me tell you about the disgrace of @kittylaing Head of Comedy at @UnitedAgents.”
One example he used was a screenshot of Kitty retweeting Aamer Rahman with the message: “If you’re confused about which side to be on: There is a global, multi-racial, multi-faith, popular movement for justice in solidarity with Palestine. There isn’t one for Israel.”
Lee then fired back, arguing that “there is” empathy for Israel as he continued to blast Kitty for her various retweets.
Express.co.uk contacted Kitty and United Agents for further comment.
