Adele responds to recent trend of items being thrown at performers onstage
Adele has made a “dramatic” change to her Las Vegas shows after opening up about her health fears.
Fans have looked forward to her walking through the audience and having chats and taking selfies with the lucky ones amongst them during every concert.
But sadly, the singer will only be saying “Hello” from the stage due to her concerns about getting ill.
The 35-year-old pulled the brakes on her usual audience “meet and greet” walkthrough due to the latest Covid outbreak at Caesars Palace that has seen her friends and crew members falling ill.
As a precautionary measure, the regular segment of her performances where she used to pose for selfies while singing When We Were Young, is no more.

“Normally I would absolutely stop and chat and all of that and I’ll hear all about your life and be the nosey person that I am,” she told the crowd at her latest show, according to Mail Online.
“However, I am hanging on by a thread trying not to get Covid.
“And I really do love chatting to you, but I don’t want to get sick, I’ll take selfies from a distance or shoot your vid,” she added.
The mother-of-one, who said that her backing singer, Amanda, had missed shows due to testing positive for the virus, insisted that her main goal is to avoid any show postponements.

“I might have symptoms and then I can’t do my show and I will be damned if I cancel any more of these shows. I refuse to cancel any shows.
“I am a germaphobe, so I might be being dramatic,” she admitted. “But I use hand gel a lot. Like If I meet someone, I’m like, ‘Hi, it’s so nice to meet you.’ And then there’s hand gel in my hand.”
Adele, who also said her “immune system is in the gutter”, added that she considers it a stroke of luck that she herself hasn’t been infected.
She did offer one concession to disappointed fans, however, by promising to take selfies from a distance. The star also shared that she recently got the flu, albeit while she was having a break from shows.
The star has nine weeks left in the residency and expressed her joy at reaching this milestone of hitting her 50th show of the residency earlier this month.
